The Raleigh foreclosure market is getting more and more competitive as we transition to a seller's market. Overall inventory levels of distressed properties are declining too, making it even harder to acquire a great investment property. You can pretty much guarantee any "good deal" will go into multiple offers and sell within the first week on the market.
Fannie Mae has an owner occupancy requirement for the first 15 days on market, but other bank-owned properties are worth pursuing quickly to try to avoid multiple offers.
You can sign up on the website and have Raleigh foreclosures sent to you as they come on the market. Use the "saved search" link on the upper right after you sign up. This will allow you to adjust your search to certain cities, price ranges, and other criteria.
