Gimghoul is a gorgeous historic neighborhood located directly east of UNC's campus. Homes were built in the 1920s-30s and styles include Colonial Revival, Craftsman, and Tudor Revival. Gimghoul Castle, an allegedly haunted castle, is located in the neighborhood.
The neighborhood is one of three local historic districts in Chapel Hill. As the neighborhood is small, homes are rarely on the market. Houses in the neighborhood sell from the $700s to over $2 million.
