USDA has delayed their eligibility map changes! This is great news because many areas in the Triangle will stay approved for the USDA 100% financing program. There are very few programs around that offer zero-down loans like USDA, so keeping areas eligible is definitely a good thing for home buyers.
The next scheduled update for the USDA home loan program will occur on October 1st 2014, so if you're interested in purchasing in an USDA-eligible area that is close to a non-eligible area make sure to do so before October. Current eligibility maps can be accessed at the USDA website here.
