Fearrington is a large planned community made up of several smaller neighborhoods located in Pittsboro, North Carolina, 8 miles south of Chapel Hill. The community has slowly developed from the 1970s to today, with new neighborhoods continually added. Neighborhoods are diverse, ranging from townhouses to large estates. Townhouses are priced in the high $100s to high $200s. Smaller, older single family homes are priced around $200,000 to $300,000. Newer single family homes are priced from the high $300s to $800s.
Fearrington features miles of walking paths throughout the community. The community also has a pool and various clubs for members to join.
The Village Center is adjacent to Fearrington, and is home to a spa, wellness facility, shopping, and dining. There is also a weekly farmers market at the Village Center. The Fearrington House Restaurant, a well-known, critically acclaimed restaurant, is located in the Village Center.
