The Prince Hall Historic District is Raleigh’s first African American and mixed-use district. Also known as the South Person/South Blount district, Prince Hall is located in southeast downtown Raleigh on about four city blocks. Designated a historic overlay district in 2012, landmarks like the 1913 Gothic Revival Tupper Memorial Baptist Church are located in the neighborhood. Homes in Prince Hall are modest, in styles such as Craftsman, Queen Anne, Neoclassical, and Minimal Traditional.
