Southern Village

Southern Village is a popular neighborhood in southern Chapel Hill, in Orange County. Southern Village is located just 2 miles from downtown Chapel Hill.

The neighborhood features single family homes, townhomes, and condos. Homes were built in the late 1990s/early 2000s. Single family homes are priced from the $400s to $900s. Townhouses are priced in the $200s to $400s, and condos are priced from the $100s to $200s. 

The neighborhood features tons of amenities. The Southern Village Club, a members only club located in the neighborhood, features a pool, tennis courts, and fitness classes. There is a commercial center in the neighborhood that hosts a variety of shops and restaurants, including a natural foods grocery store, Weaver Street Market, a Malaysian restaurant, Rasa Malaysia, an independent movie theater, the Lumina, and more. At the center of the shopping center is the Village Green, where the neighborhood hosts outdoor movies on the lawn and a farmer's market throughout the summer.
