Known as Durham's Front Porch, Cleveland-Holloway is a beautiful, eclectic late nineteenth-century neighborhood located immediately east of Downtown Durham. The neighborhood boasts a diverse range of houses, from ornate Victorian homes to smaller duplexes. Currently, both Cleveland Street and Holloway Street are designated local historic districts, but the historic district may be expanding in the near future. Most homes in the neighborhood are older, with a few newer homes scattered throughout. Home prices range from $200,000 to $500,000.
Today, the neighborhood houses a beautiful nonprofit community garden - Seeds, a dog park, and Oakwood Park. The neighborhood association is active, and hosts a Halloween celebration each year. Living in Cleveland Holloway means that you're never far from the action of downtown Durham--a short walk downtown brings you to critically acclaimed restaurants, movies, concerts, baseball games, the farmer's market, and much more.
