Downtown Durham has been undergoing a renaissance! As the number and quality of entertainment/restaurant options has increased, so has the demand for convenient residential choices. Large windows often provide picturesque views of the city and surrounding areas. Below is a list of just a few of the most desirable newer condominium complexes.
The Bartlett - The Bartlett is a new building that will feature 34 luxury condominiums near Brightleaf Square in downtown Durham. Units will have 1-3 bedrooms, high ceilings, hardwood floors, and floor to ceiling glass windows. Each unit will be equipped with the latest smart home technology. Building amenities include a pet grooming room, fire pit, outdoor terrace, lounge, coffee station, and storage. Condos at the Bartlett are priced from the $300s to over $1 million.
Mangum 506 - Unlike some of the new condo complexes that were converted from historic warehouses, Mangum 506 was constructed from the ground up as a brand new building. It incorporates many of the features of the condo conversions but was designed to also include parking, which is often at a premium in the dense downtown area.
Church and Main - Office and retail space line the sidewalks on the first floor of this eight unit structure. The residential units of this historic building are modern and contemporary featuring 2-3 units on each of the four upper floors. A unique and private rooftop garden offers stunning views of downtown Durham.
City Port - These condos start at around 200k, which makes them a more affordable option for downtown Durham. They are located directly west of the American Tobacco campus, so are only a few minute walk to the Bulls Stadium. The units have floor to ceiling windows, tall ceilings, bike storage, and garage parking available.
Bullington Warehouse - Originally a converted tobacco warehouse built in the 1920’s, today this building houses exposed brick walls, hardwood floors and 10’ windows near the historic Durham Bulls baseball field. The sleek design features modern kitchen and fixtures throughout the house.
The Kress Building - This structure is historically significant because it is one of the biggest and most splendid Art Deco buildings in North Carolina. Built in 1933 as a five-and-dime store, it now houses three floors of residential units. It was converted while keeping the history of the building in mind with historically appropriate windows and lofty ceilings included in the design. Penthouses top the structure.
Brannan Condos - These condos are located near the Durham Farmers' Market / Central Park (practically on top of it, which is super convenient!) There are roughly 35 residential units. The Brannan condos are not featured below so please contact us if you need more information!
Mangum Flats - Located on the eastern side of downtown Durham, just a few blocks from Durham Central Park, condos at Mangum Flats feature huge windows, balconies and courtyards, and plenty of storage space. The condos range in size from 430 to 1800 square feet, and are priced from the $300s to $700s.
The Vega - Located downtown right next to the Durham Central Park (where the Durham farmer's market is located) this location can't be beat! Each condo will have it's own balcony and personal storage unit, and the building will feature its own fitness center and private parking. These condos will range in size from 900 to 2300 square feet, and will be priced between the $400s and $1 million plus.
