Parkwood is an older, established neighborhood located in South Durham, NC. Parkwood is popular due to its central location between Durham, Raleigh, and Chapel Hill. The neighborhood features single family homes, townhouses, and apartments.
Parkwood was one of the first HOAs formed in North Carolina in 1960! Today, the HOA dues are $245 annually. Most of the homes were built in the 1960s and 70s, and sit on lots around 0.3 - 0.5 acres.
Amenities in the neighborhood include walking trails, a ball field, playgrounds, and parks. There is even a lake in the center of the neighborhood.
