North Durham is located north of I-85, east of Hillsborough, and south of Bahama. From North Durham, you can easily be in downtown Durham in 10-20 minutes, downtown Raleigh in around 40 minutes, Chapel Hill in around 30 minutes, and RTP in around 25 minutes.
Living in North Durham means you're never far from all that the Triangle has to offer. You'll also find tons to do just minutes away.
The most popular outdoor activity in North Durham is definitely the Eno River State Park. The park offers 30 miles of trails along the beautiful Eno River. There are spots for swimming and fishing as well. Little River Regional Park, located in Rougemont, is a 391 acre park and natural area located just north of Durham and offers hiking trails, mountain bike trails, a paved walking trail, butterfly garden, and much more. Horton Grove Nature Preserve, also located north of Durham in Bahama, is a beautiful nature preserve with 8 miles of trails. Both Little River and Horton Grove are just a short drive from north Durham.
Croasdaile Country Club offers plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy, with its beautiful golf course, one of the area's largest grass practice tees, tennis courts, and an outdoor pool. Umstead Pines, a golf and swim club, is also located in North Durham.

North Durham is just a short drive to downtown Durham, where you'll find the Durham Farmers' Market, a year round farmers' market that features local produce, meat, seafood, dairy products, coffee, baked goods, and more. Hillsborough is also a short drive from North Durham, and hosts two farmers' markets: the Eno River Farmers' Market, in downtown Hillsborough, and the Hillsborough Farmers' Market.

North Durham is home to one of the Triangle's top family-friendly museums: the Museum of Life and Science. The museum features interactive exhibits and tons of outdoor exhibits and activities, including one of the largest butterfly conservatories on the East Coast, a train ride, and a Sound Garden.
There are several concert venues within 20-30 minutes of North Durham, including Motorco Music Hall and Carolina Theatre, both in downtown Durham.
In downtown Durham, the Durham Performing Arts Center is a theater that hosts over 180 performances a year, including Broadway shows.
